ABOUT ME

I am Boyana Avdjieva, Bulgarian, trilingual actress and writer. I have a long acting career, including stage shows, musicals, TV shows, films and commercials. I started acting professionally at 17 years old and writing at 13. So far, I've written and produced two short films and I am in the current making of my debut feature independent project.

I recently won a scholarship for the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute among over 200 actors who auditioned for it. I am the first person to do it after participating in an international workshop of the Institute.

Born in Bulgaria, I started acting at the young age of 4 in TV shows for children and commercials, making my professional stage debut at 17 in the musical "The Wizard of Oz".

Since then, I've participated in 8 stage shows, 4 musicals, 5 films, 10 short films, 5 TV shows and numerous commercials.

Through the span of my career I have written 5 screenplays, 3 of which have been developed.
